Joseph C. Telezinski grew up in Riverside, California as the son of a local entrepreneur. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration magna cum laude from National University and worked in business management for eight years before attending law school. While in law school, he wrote a published case note on employment law and was Executive Editor of the Western State University Law Review. He also spent a semester as a Judicial Extern, writing and editing court opinions for Justice Hollenhorst of the California Court of Appeal. In 2000, he graduated third in his class from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California.
In 2000, Mr. Telezinski obtained his license to practice law and obtained employment as an associate at Serembe, Bakke & Seaman, a San Bernardino-based workers’ compensation defense firm where he spent his first five years in practice defending a variety of employers in workers’ compensation matters, including claims of Serious and Willful Misconduct and Labor Code §132a violations, as well as issues specific to public safety officers and employees entitled to benefits under the California Education Code.
In 2005, Mr. Telezinski founded O’Connor * Telezinski with Carrie C. O’Connor. In addition to providing business and employment law representation, Mr. Telezinski is certified as a specialist in workers’ compensation law by the State Bar of California Board of Specialization and is the author and presenter of the Wickstrom Insurance & Risk Training Center’s California Workers’ Compensation Series for claims professionals.
